The 2023 Specialty Coffee Association Expo in Portland, Oregon was the first Expo with people back to full travel with no covid restrictions, and it had a celebratory feel.

I, Richard, was there, along with Marcelline Budza, the President of ACC affiliate cooperative, Rebuild Women’s Hope, who was hosted by Atlas Coffee Importers.

The USA is the world’s largest specialty coffee market, and African coffees apart from Ethiopian Arabicas are badly underrepresented.

We were able to meet with both importers and roasters, current partners and potential new buyers able to take ACC coffees into parts of the market we have not yet reached.
